Huppe fasciée

Upupa epops
 Bucerotiformes -Upupidae

Hoopoe
I have monitored this pair for 3 years now, thanks to a good friend Jean-Louis who warns me as soon as it starts nesting in his neighbor's garage wall. I don't know if they are always the same specific birdssinceduring migrations anything can happen to them. All I know is that it's the same family which returns regularly.
For good pics and their comfort, I have set up 2 perches close to the hole in the wall which shelters their young.

    Gros bisous ♡

reminds me a bit of our woodpeckers, not a good bird to have nest in ones house. they destroy them. but this is a different bird and your photos are gorgeous of it.

  29. Hello Noushka!:) What can I say, you have excelled yourself this time with these FABULOUS captures. I love these guys and their quirky looks. Do you know, I see them almost every day, but when they see me they instantly fly away. I've just got to get organized, and wait in hiding. I usually prefer to let the birds come to me, but your photos prove that taking the time and trouble to wait in a structured way, gives results. It would also help if I knew where their nest is!!:=) I'm not back blogging just yet, ...just came to say hello.
