La Corneille noire

 Corvus corone
 Passeriformes - Corvidae

Carrion crow
I was expecting any other bird than this one! It perched on the lower branch of an American oak tree. It seems preoccupied, watching the sky all the time and it's only when I went back into the house that Patrick said it was quite normal, 2 Red kites were flying 50 m high, above the hide! What was it up to?... That you will discover in the second episode!

Hello Noushka
I believe we don't have 'corvus' here in Brazil, but black birds.
They are very tame and live well with everyone!
Nice photos as usual!!!

We have plenty of Crows in England as you know Noushka. Very adaptable clever birds. Its no wonder that they have a long life span.

Wonderful pictures, Noushka. I always find it difficult to photograph crows here....but then your equipment is a tad better than mine!

The Carrion Crow looks wonderful when it's given the Noushka treatment! I'm now waiting for Part 2.

I hope that your weather is improving now. Ours in UK seems to be getting dryer and less windy, but more cold. We just need some sunshine now.

This is my second time of trying to comment on this post, Noushka. The first time was this morning after Beatriz. I hope that this one gets through!

Best wishes - - - Richard

Bonjour Noushka,

Dear Noushka,
you've done very well catching all these shades of black in the crow!Even more beautiful with the coloured backgrounds.
Curious for part two...
Best regards, Corrie

Cdlt, M.
