Au tour de la Mesange charbonnière

Parus major
Passeriformes - Paridae

Great tit bathing
They really seem to enjoy it but it is also greatly important for their feather's health:

Et voilà, c'est déjà fini!

That's it, I'm done!!

Nicely done.

That's what I like, unusual pics of a common bird. I have never seen pictures of them with these special attitudes. I really like them.
Greetings, Kees

Hi Noushka, another super set of images of a common but very pretty little bird having a bath. Surprised it didn't ask you to do its back. Regards John

Delightful!!! I see you're making the most of your set-ups whilst you can, Noushka. I hope you find somewhere where you can continue with your wildlife photography.

Wishing you the very best of luck - - - Richard

I love the Great Tit, the way you see it, paddleing in the bird bath.

Bon jour magicienne,

Gros bisous ma oiselle adorée.

One bird that we see a lot of here and I do love watching them have a bath, they seem to enjoy it even when the water is very cold. As always fabulous photos.
Hope that all is going well for you and that life is not too stressful. Take care, thoughts are with you. Big hugs Diane

Some species really do seem to take great delight in bathing. Here it is American Robins. They splash around return to the water far more than is required for pure feather sanitation. Great job, Noushka.

This is such a fun series of photos, Noushka! I always enjoy watching birds bathe and play in the water. Birds always fascinate me because they survive in a harsh world with so little. A gorgeous Cooper's hawk flew over the road in front of me yesterday, and I immediately thought of you. But there was no where to stop my car, and it was quickly gone. I often show your wonderful photos to Terry, and he enjoyed this series! Have a good one!
