Le Lynx pardelle, Iberian lynx

Lynx pardelle

Nothing beats the ephemeral vision of a Lynx in total freedom in his environment, a dream vision and the happiness of being able to make the cliché.
December and January are the 2 months where the chances of him moving are the best; indeed, males and females seek and mark their territory to find themselves.
It is in Andalusia, in the sierras of Andujar and Cardena y Montoro, that the largest population of Lynx pardelle is located. Long considered the most threatened feline on the planet it is no longer on the brink of extinction, although it is still very vulnerable, through an extensive breeding and relocation program and a massive reintroduction of warren rabbits, its main prey.

  2. Hi Carine! It's good to see you back in Europe - especially when you produce real treats like this post with these wonderful images. I'd love to see a Lynx in the wild - indeed, I'd love to see any wildcat in the wild - I expect, however, that I will end my days only ever having seen them in zoos. :-{

    I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and a wildlife-filled 2020. Take good care - - - Richard
