I have a special place in my heart for little birds. It's hard to believe that these little bits of fluff get by in this world. We need so much to survive, let alone thrive, and they need so little. I was walking in the park the other day ~ cold, snow-filled, silent. Then suddenly I came across a noisy thicket filled with sparrows chirping and brightening the space with their joyous songs. What would our world be without avian songsters? Thank you, always, for sharing their beauty and wonder!

In fact, in Ethiopia, we had the incredible good fortune to have a Eurasian Wryneck on one side of a trunk, and a Red-throated Wryneck on the other. You always seem to be on the road somewhere!
