C'était rigolo de voir la mamma prendre un raccourci pour rejoindre l'autre côté du point d'eau par la passerelle, ce qui m'arrangeait bien pour avoir une meilleure lumière!

It was fun to see momma take a shortcut using the wooden walkway to reach the other side of dam; it suited me fine for I had the bird in a better light:
Elle reprend sa pêche fissa car les petits l'ont suivie mais avec une discrétion exemplaire et heureusement... car Milans noirs et autres prédateurs sont dans les parages en embuscade.
She is in a hurry to stuff her chicks who followed her with great stealth, a good thing since Black kites and other predators are in wait for this kind of prey.
Difficile de voir la passation même du ver de vase avec ces joncs, la plupart du temps elle tourne dos à cet instant:
Not easy to witness and photograph the mud worm handover (or beakover!) with the rush, most of the time she does it turning her back on me.

mais quand apparait le second, c'est de l'adrénaline!
C'est la première fois que je parviens à pixeliser les poussins, noirs comme du charbon et le bec jaune très clair:

Pendant ce temps-là maman ne perd pas de temps et se précipite, proie dans le bec, pour nourrir le 3ème qui reste bien camouflé!
Meanwhile, mum doesn't waist a sec and hurries back with another worm to feed the well hidden 3rd chick!
Avec son empressement habituel, elle swing les vers!

She seems quite proud of herself, I can only hope she manages to raise all 3 to adulthood.
