Passeriformes - Paridae:

Mésange bleue - Blue tit
 Parus caeruleus

Mésange charbonnière - Great tit
 Parus major

Bizarre-bizarre!!!

On the screen I was puzzled to discover something looking like a ring but since the feathers are moth-eaten the same way on every single picture, I can only conclude that it is same individual... quite a strange thing!!!

Mésange nonnette - Marsh tit
 Parus palustris

Passeriformes - Troglodytidae:

Troglodyte mignon - Eurasian wren
Troglodytes troglodytes

 Piciformes - Picidae:
Pic épeiche - Great spotted woodpecker
Dendrocopos major male

  6. Amazing photos as always. I agree it does look like a ring. We have a female chaffinch in the garden with a weird growth on her foot. She seems to cope, but it does worry her I can see. There is a photo of her on today's diary. Bon weekend Diane x

  15. Hi Noushka,
The winter in the Netherlands has gone, and you show us pictures with snow from the south of France! Isn't this the world upside down?
Great shots as usual, of which I like the wren the best.
    Greetings, Kees

  16. Bonjour,
    Bon week-end !

  17. I am sure that snow is relatively rare for you, Noushka, so these images must have a special fascination, given that you don't often have the chance to shoot under these conditions. Big hugs from Miriam and me.

  18. Superb quality photographs of these beautiful species! Outstanding detail. I cannot relate to having snow as a backdrop, but that's okay with me! LOL!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful images, Noushka!

  19. Dear Nouska, you've managed to "catch" a lot of different birds in this snowy world. It really gives the pictures something extra. Lovely photo's.
    Best regards, Corrie

  20. I was showing this post to my husband Terry yesterday. He was asking me to send links from your blog to his iPad. He was trying to click to see what some of your other posts were, and I had to tell him that he was clicking on your art. He says, "What? You mean she does art too?" I think he is impressed with your art as much as your photography. btw, your leopards you drew below are gorgeous! Have a good one, my friend!
