Dans la neige, les chevreuils

Capreolus capreolus

Il était temps... après cet épisode de neige dans les Pyrénées le temps s'est radouci et s'est mis à la pluie. J'ai été comblée par ces rencontres magiques avec des chevreuils dont un bien joli brocard avec ses 6 pointes sous velours.

I was just in time... after this snow episode in the Pyrenees mountains, the weather softened and turned to rain. I was thrilled with these encounters of Roe deer among which a beautiful 6 pointer buck.

  1. How wonderful for you to find these deer in snow, Carine, and how wonderful for us to be able to see the beautiful shots you took! Thank you. We have only had light sprinklings of snow here and a few heavy frosts. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some proper snow, but maybe I'll have to wait until I get to Scotland - not long now!

Take good care, and keep warm - - - Richard

  2. Tes photos m'évoquent un conte de fée avec toute cette neige et ces superbes animaux.
Tu as dû un peu galérer pour réaliser tous ces portraits mais cela en valait la peine!
Bisous et bonne semaine à venir.

  3. Hi Noushka,
Beautiful set of images of the Roe Deer in the snow.
You certainly had a good depth of snow and it must have been a good trek through to get the images.
    All the best, John

  8. That is deep snow, hard to get around in. When the snow is that deep here, the deer tend to wander to places with less snow. Still your photos look much like our area. And they are wonderful to see.

  11. Hi Carine,
It is great to see the roes in the snow. You really were lucky to have this encounter. I just returned from a walk in the dunes along the Dutch coast. My main purpose was taking pictures of .... roes. I succeeded, but without snow the pictures look very different from yours of course. I am fond of these animals so I really liked to see your pictures.
    Greetings, Kees
