𝘼𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙭𝙪𝙨, ou la manière de se reproduire de certains Anoures

Fin février la saison des amours commence pour les
Crapauds communs.
Le mâle, beaucoup plus petit part à la recherche d'une femelle au bord des points d'eau pour s'accoupler. Il grimpe sur le dos de l'élue et la tient très serrée, surtout quand un autre mâle tente de l'évincer. Lorsque la femelle lâche ses œufs dans l'eau, le mâle lâche son sperme simultanément pour les fertiliser.
Ce mode de reproduction s'appelle l'amplexus.
Ces quelques photos datent d'il y a 6 ans, prises dans mon étang que je n'ai plus hélas.

The male, much smaller leaves his winter hide to look for a female along the edges of ponds to mate. He climbs on the back of a female and holds her very tight, especially when another male tries to grab her too. When she lays her eggs in the water, the male releases his sperm simultaneously to fertilize them.
This reproduction mode is called amplexus.
