Voici le plus grand héron du monde, ses mensurations:Hauteur: 120 à 150 cm, envergure: 185 à 230 cm, poids: 4 à 5 kg contre1 à 2 kg pour le Héron cendré. Sinon il se comporte et se nourrit comme les autres hérons, il mène une vie solitaire et défend agressivement son territoire contre d'éventuels rivaux.

pour l'avoir vu à la réserve africaine de Sigean, je confirme que c'est un très grand oiseau; évidemment dans la nature ça a une autre gueule, surtout en vol ! superbe
RépondreSupprimerle pourpré à côté fait tout minus, mais lui on a pour habitude de le croiser dans le marais mais il est hyper difficile à photographier hélas .
