Vulpes vulpes
Mammifera - Caniadae
My mate the Red fox
still visits me from time
to time - I don't see his brother any more - : this morning only I got a glimpse of him on the lawn as I came
back from feeding the garden birds and was about to close the kitchen
door. I shot to the fridge to get meat I keep for him or for the birds
of prey and I called him, convinced that he would not come since I had
not seen a for 3 weeks. Well he arrived quite happy and we spent a short
moment together and I was the one to leave so he would understand he
had nothing to fear from me.
Anyway, here is one of the 'twins' photographed at the lake one summer evening.
I had cut one more opening in the hide's material and put the scraps close by in order to throw them away later, but the rascal saw them and had fun for a while before lying down quite relaxed!
