Sans mon télé Nikon 800 mm, je n'aurais jamais pu faire ces clichés car les oiseaux étaient à environ 15 mètres de moi. Des oiseaux que je trouve magnifiques dans leurs différents plumages, même en dehors de la période nuptiale.

 Common starlingWithout my 800 mm Nikon lens, I would have never been able to shoot these pics since the birds were foraging about 15 meters from me. I find them gorgeous in their different plumage variations even out of the breeding period.

Pour se nourrir, les oiseaux utilent leur bec pour retourner les cailloux afin de trouver les bestioles qui s'y cachent...

En cette journée du 16 septembre à la réserve ornitho du Teich j'arrive juste avant la grosse averse qui va me permettre de réaliser les clichés suivants. Je suis équipée du 200/500 mm pour les oiseaux plus proches et du 800 mm pour ceux qui se tiennent plus loin.

Birds in pearls!
The 16th of September on the Atlantic coast at the Teich bird preserve, the sky was dark and menacing and it started to rain as I entered the shelter. It allowed me the following pictures shot with the 200/500 mm Nikon lens for the closer birds and the 800 mm for the ones keeping at a distance.

Les individus ci-dessous pris fin août ont revêtu leur plumage intermédiaire d'automne. Dans ce Laurier cerise, prendre des clichés est un véritable challenge: les oiseaux sont en bonne partie masqué par les feuilles, le plumage à moitié dans les zones d'ombre ou de plein soleil et toujours en mouvement!

The birds below were photographed end of August and display an intermediary autumn plumage. In this Cherry laurel, it is quite a challenge to manage decent pics: the birds plumage is systematically exposed to shadows and harsh light and always on the move!
