Milvus milvus
Accipitriformes - Accipitridae
Red kite
At present females are on the nest whether incubating eggs or raising small chicks and males are in search for food to feed his family. This year, I observed with satisfaction that there are more pairs around than the previous years. I'd like to believe our contribution to help them through winter is one of the reasons....
Just magnificent, Noushka! If only there were more people in the world like you. Thanks for helping these regal raptors. In the second to last photo, the pose of the red kite makes me think of a Klingon Bird-of Prey! I can just see it through the view screen of my starship. Have a happy weekend!
RépondreSupprimerWow, Noushka, your Red Kite images are gorgeous.. Happy weekend!

RépondreSupprimerthey really have gorgeous coloring.
I will never tire of seeing them.

MITOU
Wow, the series is excellent, Noushka, and the bird so gorgeous. I also think they are with more to thank you for the food. And I really believe that, because I see the same in my garden with the little birds. There are much more in this spring than in other years. They still come to drink water and eat the food I now offer (apples for the starlings for example). Others species are nesting in my garden. I have never had that before. So I think they really enjoy your property. Have a great sunday. Greetings, Joke
