Capreolus capreolus
I was just in time... after this snow episode in the Pyrenees mountains, the weather softened and turned to rain. I was thrilled with these encounters of Roe deer among which a beautiful 6 pointer buck.
How wonderful for you to find these deer in snow, Carine, and how wonderful for us to be able to see the beautiful shots you took! Thank you. We have only had light sprinklings of snow here and a few heavy frosts. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some proper snow, but maybe I'll have to wait until I get to Scotland - not long now!

Hi Noushka,
RépondreSupprimerBeautiful set of images of the Roe Deer in the snow.
You certainly had a good depth of snow and it must have been a good trek through to get the images.
All the best, John
Wow that is heavy snow and the deer look like thay are struggling. What wonderful photos though and I am so glad that you have shared them with us. Back home this week and I hope the weather holds for us for travelling!! Keep warm, hugs Diane

Hello Noushka,
RépondreSupprimerGreat how you've photograph these deers.
Really fantastic with the snow. Shot 7 and 9 are so nice.
Greetings, Marco
That is deep snow, hard to get around in. When the snow is that deep here, the deer tend to wander to places with less snow. Still your photos look much like our area. And they are wonderful to see.
Your photos really captured the struggles of the deer in the snow. You must have been slogging through the snow too. Thanks you for capturing these striking images and sharing them with us!
RépondreSupprimerHi Carine,
RépondreSupprimerIt is great to see the roes in the snow. You really were lucky to have this encounter. I just returned from a walk in the dunes along the Dutch coast. My main purpose was taking pictures of .... roes. I succeeded, but without snow the pictures look very different from yours of course. I am fond of these animals so I really liked to see your pictures.
Greetings, Kees
Enhorabuena..
RépondreSupprimerDearest Noushka,
RépondreSupprimerWhat a shots with the thick layer of snow to make the contrast even more sharp.
You no doubt were deep in the snow as well! Stay warm and healthy.
Hugs,
Mariette
